Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC) was held in Barcelona (February 27th to March 2nd) and PhotonTransfer was present at this yearly event.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world’s largest reunion for the mobile industry and takes places every year since 2011 in Barcelona. The MWC is a major event that regroups all industry professionals from all over the world such as investors, exhibitors, CEO´s and more. This is a B2B event for anyone and everyone in mobile and all other industry in connection with it who wants to discover how mobile technology can benefit their industries and also know the trend of future of technology in this field. The Mobile World congress 2017 has reunited companies like Facebook, Sony, Samsung, Nokia, Huawei and many other companies at the vanguard of the future of mobile technology. This year, the MWC gathered more than 100 000 people, most of them professional. This event also gave us access to the 4 Years From Now (4YFN), a place where startups exhibit their companies, and new technologies looking for funding and connecting with others startups and investors to develops their business.

What are the opportunities for PhotonTransfer and our collaborators?
PhotonTransfer was present at the Mobile World Congress 2017 to connect with all of these big companies and our university partners and propose them to visit our portfolio of technologies available for transfer (http://photontransfer.com/) to maybe find the technology their are looking for. We have noticed an increase in interest during the mobile world congress, proof of our good communication during all the event and contacts with several of the companies present at the event. For PhotonTransfer it was a great event that permitted us to know other people from new technology fields to share ideas about the future of their technologies.
